Datafrost Space at the Plug and Play University Pitch Day 2025

1/22/25

Sibtain Ali, Co-Founder of Datafrost Space, spoke to over 100 investors, highlighting the the key potential of satellite data and our plan to make it more accessible.

On January 22, 2025 students and alumni from Technical University of Munich, Free University of Berlin, Humboldt and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich had an opportunity to showcase their exciting startups to the network of investors of Plug and Play Tech Center.

Talking to over 100 investors, Sibtain Ali Thepdawala, Co-Foudner of Datafrost Space and masters student in aerospace engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), highlighted the key potential of satellite data in addressing the challenges of over 15 industries which remains untapped due to the steep learning curve and financial constraints for smaller users and the difficulty in finding and adopting relevant solutions.

“What sets us apart is our ability to empower new users, for whom data processing and analysis may be inaccessible due to their complexity, to fully leverage the promise of Earth observation by connecting them with providers of relevant solutions.” - Sibtain Ali Thepdawala

As the home of the world’s largest Earth observation programme, within the EU27 alone, there are vast untapped market opportunities. By addressing the barriers to a large scale adoption, Datafrost Space is determined to democratize space data.
